Analysys: In 2015 Q4, the transaction size of China’s online tourism market on mobile terminal sustained a rapid growth, becoming the mainstream trading market of online tourism.
In 2015 Q4, the transaction size of the China’s online tourism market on mobile terminal reached RMB 97.98 billion, a rise of 110.6% year on year, with a penetration rate of the mobile terminal of China’s online tourism market up to 72.4%, shown in the Quarterly Monitoring Report on China’s Online Tourism Market on Mobile Terminal 2015 Q4 published by Analysys Industry Database.

In the opinion of Analysys, as the closed loop of each link for online tourism market perfected gradually, especially for increasingly mature dynamic booking, social contact and payment function based on POI, LBS and new mobile payment technologies, the transaction size on mobile terminal maintained sustainable quarter-on-quarter growth in 2015 Q4 in the situation of rapid growth for the first three quarters of year, the penetration rate continued expending and mobile terminal became the mainstream trading market of online tourism.
 
In the opinion of Analysys, in 2015 Q4, the transaction size on mobile terminal accounted for over 50% in online booking market segments of traffic, accommodation and holiday tourism, among which the transaction size of the online accommodation booking and traffic booking markets at high standardization level exceeded 70%. The mobile terminal became the main online booking channel. In 2015 Q4, the transaction size of the online holiday tourism market on mobile terminal accounted for 59.4%, a jump of 4.9% compared with 2015 Q3. The Analysys predicts that with the rapid growth of the online holiday tourism market on mobile terminal in the future, the transaction size on mobile terminal will further enlarge to increase the penetration rate.
 
In 2015 Q4, the transaction sizes of Ctrip and Qunar.com ranked top two with a market share of 36.5% and 30.2% respectively, accounted for 66.7% in the whole, slightly higher than their whole online tourism market share (65.4 %). In each market segment, Qunar.com ranked top of online air ticket booking market share which is 37.9%; Ctrip ranked top of online accommodation booking market share which is 46.3%; Tuniu ranked top of online holiday tourism market share which is 28.2%. In the opinion of Analysys, in 2015 Q4, major vendors, based on the development of mobile Internet technology, increased user stickiness through social contact and membership functions, and further enlarged the order transaction size on mobile terminal through cross-border finance, entertainment and other fields.
 
Analysys.cn data of December 2015 showed that 12306 Official Version, Qunar.com and HSR Booker ranked top three of active viewing users, and the numbers of their active users were 11.102 million, 10.655 million and 8.272 million respectively. The booking demands of train ticket booking vendors (12306 Official Version and HSR Booker) become more diversified, with monthly active users leading the whole online tourism industry; comprehensive online tourism vendors such as Qunar.com and Ctrip achieved an excellent performance, with monthly active users on mobile terminal far ahead other vendors. In addition, vendors like Ali Trip, Tuniu.com, LY.com, Yilong.com, Flight Booker, and Mafengwo.cn had an outstanding performance with a further enhancement in market influence.
